I Stayed In Tanzania For A Month And I’m Convinced That I Found Heaven On Earth

I stayed in Tanzania for one month as a volunteer, and I had the occasion to visit Safari in National Park Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The democracy is just a political system; you can find the real freedom where there are no humans. Thousands kilometers of savanna, you and the lions, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and all other animals that would eat you with pleasure, are showing explicit demonstration of how insignificant and helpless are you outside the human created world.

When? When the car has just stuck in mud, in the middle of the savanna and you get off to take it out. When a gentle hyena has just passed beside you. When the lions do not pay any attention, because you are in a car, and the zebras graze with their backs turned to you. When there is you and the raised roof in your car, the wind, the spectacular sunrises, when the words become uncomfortable and boring. There is only you and Massai businessmen tribes.

If the heaven exists, I’m sure the painter of that sky was inspired by Tanzanian sky. It is all so different and so spectacular, that you have to be slapped to realize that you’re not on the set of Inception.

Sleeping in unprotected tents, when the lions are awake, is more exciting than viewing the National Geographic TV channel, to say the least! These were the three days of safari, full of pleasant emotions and freedom.
