The Postal Project Wants To Show You Every Post Office In The Country
The Postal Project is on a mission to capture a picture of every post office in the country. Why? We’re out to prove that no two post offices look alike – despite every town in the U.S. having one. This Instagram-based project (@thepostalproject) is a combination of architecture, geography, photography, history, nostalgia and Americana. After all, the post office is one of the threads of this country, and each one has a story to tell. Some of the stories can be told with a picture while others have interesting backstories that add to their character.
The more attention the Postal Project gets, the more likely we are to reach our goal, which includes rekindling people’s love for the post office and thus increasing awareness and support for the preservation of the USPS.
