With guidance of professors from Harvard University and Berkley, an heraldic artist from the National Archives of Sweden and other different tutors I have created a proposal for planet Earth’s official flag.
Current expeditions in outer space use different national flags depending on which country is funding the voyage. The space travelers, however, are more than just representatives of their own countries.
They are representatives of planet Earth.
So the purpose of the flag would be:
1. To be used while representing planet Earth.
2. To remind the people of Earth that we share this planet, no matter of national boundaries. That we should take care of each other and the planet we live on.
NASA has let me use their images for me to show the flag in relevant contexts.
The flag is correctly designed after different flag regulations and ready to be adapted.
