Look. I get it, and generally, it's never right to discriminate against any group of people with a certain skin-colour or heritage. No matter WHAT skin-colour that is. But considering the history for example in the US, it is quite different to equate being labeled as "white folk" or maybe laughed about when throughout the centuries, black US-Americans have been segregated, violated, disadvantaged and misrepresented. And not just sometimes but systematically and sometimes even openly through the government. So as a white person to another white person: Pull up your britches and get over yourself. What "white folks" are suffering from is usually a bit of discomfort. Yeah - not nice. But absolutely not comparable. If you put the injustice against Afro-Americans on one weighing-scale, the injustice against whites wouldn't even be on the same table!

Calling out racism, stupidity, and hatred are not quite the racism people of color have faced. It does not capture the utter fear that they face just going outside into a society so openly against them (or so very ignorant and refuses to learn why it is), knowing that the judicial system is rigged against them. You can change a single word in a sentence and completely alter the meaning/delivery.

Yes, because black people are still a minority, power wise. That's how racism works. And that's why your math doesn't.

If you don't understand, you lack empathy. Imagine living in a society where your skin or the way you live is different from everyone else. Now imagine that makes everyone suspicious of you. Imagine there are no toys, no comics, no superheros, not even literature that represents your colour and life. Books are written always from the perspective of those that look different than you, your family is told where to live and when you make money, they frown and ask what crimes you commit to get that rich. And then things change and suddenly rights for your colour are talked about. Now. Imagine YOU in that situation and tell me you would not be a little bitter and get a chip on your shoulder. If that's YOUR life, you will get more of my sympathy and also lenience that I would not give the people with the other colour.

It’s not racism, racism is about power, if you are white (as I am) your life isn’t going to be ruined because someone believes a stereotype about you, however, stereotypes about people of color, say for example, an African American, people may have to live their life with some level of fear that because they are thought of “dangerous”, they may be hurt in some way by people who view them as so.

Exactly..I don´t think it is right to do this, just as it is not right to be prejudiced to people of other races..just like how the Karen thing is so unfair to kind women who are white and named Karen.
