Montreal based artist Jon Rafman isn’t the original photographer but instead he explores Google Street Views and takes screenshots of the most unusual and funny sights. The original images were taken by an army of Google’s hybrid electric automobiles, each one equipped with nine cameras on a single pole trying to photograph every highway and byway in the world. Here are 36 strangest and funniest Google Street View photos from Jon Rafman’s collection with a couple of our own finds.

I get vertigo just looking at it, but if you have nerves of steel, then you should definitely try out this newly built glass walkway in China, called the Walk of Faith. I hope the glass is as thick as the Popemobile’s because this Glass Plank Road has been added 1,430 metres (4,690ft) up the Zhangjiajie Tianmen mountain. The translucent floor guarantees the tourists some unforgettable sightseeing experiences.
This beautiful “Bubble Tank” that’s about to fall off the table was created by Sheffield-based design studio Psalt Design. Just looking at this fish tank makes me uncomfortable, however it “is resting on its counter-balanced weight” so there’s probably nothing to worry about. Made from premium glass, handblown and slumped by a master glassblower each tank has it’s own unique form and individual characteristics.
They say you are what you eat, and it’s especially true with the translucent ants. Scientist Mohamed Babu from Mysore, India, placed specially colored sugar drops in his garden to attract the weird insects his wife found near the house sipping the spilled milk.
Israeili artist Ronit Baranga uses clay and porcelain to craft some really disturbing tableware that would probably instantly make you lose your appetite. Already known for her strange sculptures, Baranga applied her creepy creativity to the kitchen, putting realistic mouths and fingers on dishes and cups.
Have you ever noticed that tourists try to get a picture near every boring sculpture or statue they can find? Most of the time, they don’t even care who made it, or why it is there in the first place…
Do you know what is the safest way to travel? It’s online traveling – when you sit comfortably on a coach browsing the pictures.
So, let’s take a little virtual tour to the heart of the Xochimilco’s canals, Mexico. There we will find a strange little island called “Isla de Las Munecas” where most of the trees are decorated with old creepy dolls. According to legend, three young girls were playing in the island when one drowned. Now when you…
Meet David Cerny – an internationally famous Czech sculptor, best known for his giant space-age babies that crawl up the Zizkov TV tower a hundred meters or so above Prague. He gained notoriety in 1991 by painting a Soviet tank pink that served as a war memorial in central Prague. As the Monument to Soviet tank crews was still a national cultural monument at that time, his act of civil disobedience was considered “hooliganism” and he was briefly arrested.
My first reaction when I saw these weird dog hairdos was – wow, this is awesome! But then the second thought came to me – this is awesome just for us, but how about those little guys from the animal kingdom? You know, panda (me) is one of them, so I’m really concerned.
And are these haircuts weird, or is it otherwise – people who do these haircuts are the biggest weirdoes?
Ok, panda has to admit that the title of the post is a bit overstated, but I had to grab your attention somehow. And if you are reading this, it worked!
The list of top 10 worlds strangest fountains is far away from being official or anything like that, it’s panda’s top 10.
But don’t worry, you won’t be disappointed – these fountains will be your boredom killers for the next few minutes.
Bored panda presents you an incredible list of 33 strangest buildings in the world, and best of all, it’s not just another random list, but it is based on 4.520 unique visitor votes. So don’t blame panda for this exact order, blame yourself for voting this way, or for not voting at all (and don’t tell me you didn’t know where to vote, you could have asked).
