Meet Ippo the zonkey, a lovely two-for-one hybrid of the zebra and the donkey. Ippo was born just four months ago at an animal reserve in Florence, Italy. Her parents’ unusual tryst occurred when her father, Martin the zebra, jumped the fence at his enclosure and entered an enclosure housing endangered Amiata donkeys. In the enclosure, Martin met Giada and, twelve months later, little Ippo was born!

If a pet’s Halloween costume is both creative and comfortable for our animal friends to wear, both we and our pets can enjoy it. The ways in which these pet owners have approached decking out there animals is as diverse as the pets and animal owners themselves. Some matched the pets to costumes based on the color of their pets’ skin or fur, while others made them resemble pop culture characters that were based on their species in the first place.
After Norwegian comedy singer duo Ylvis ignited the world’s interest in sounds that animals make with “What Does The Fox Say?,” other artists have begun exploring these questions more in-depth. English artist James Chapman has created a series of comics comparing how different languages around the world write down the sounds that some of our favorite animals make. The panels are a delight to see, with bright colors and cute animals. The comparisons between languages are also interesting, no matter what your native language is.
In one of the latest installments of Banksy’s ‘Better Out Than In’ street art show in NY, a slaughterhouse truck has hit the streets of NY carrying a cargo of squealing and crying plush animals. The display is both playful and disturbing – the plush animals we know from our childhood seem to be crying and squealing because of their pending doom.
Now here’s an ultimate explosion of cuteness: a creative advertising campaign, that features both adorable puppies and kittens! Titled Life is Adventure, the photos series portray little fellows embarking on various adventures, set up from props on the ground. Created by graphic designer and art director Marek Farkas and photographer Miro Minarovich, the series was created as part of Hill’s pet food advertising campaign.
