Artist Creates Stunning Owl Painting With Chaotic Splashes Of Color

Chinese painter, illustrator and street artist Cheng Yingjie (a.k.a. Hua Tunan) has created an extraordinary painting called “Night Owl” that makes perfect use of his signature colorful and chaotic style. His stunning and dynamic owl figure seems to materialize magically out of a chaotic cloud of splashes and splashes of colorful paint. Like many other successful contemporary street artists, he uses a wide range of bright colors, even those don’t actually appear in owls, like green, blue and purple.

Heather Hansen, a contemporary performance artist and dancer in New Orleans, has come up with an elegant and creative way to capture her dancing motions on paper – she gets up-close and personal with a big piece of paper and some charcoal. For the performance aspect of her work, Hansen invites observers to watch her dance on a huge piece of paper. As she dances and prostates herself on the piece of paper, she marks it with charcoal, gradually building a beautiful diagram of her seemingly ritual dance.

Artist Sebastan Errazuriz has created a series of exquisitely-designed shoes that deal with his past relationships in a uniquely artistic and open way. The series, called “12 Shoes For 12 Lovers,” features shoes designed to reflect each of his 12 exes. Each beautiful high-heel shoe comes with a brief anecdote about or description of the girl in Errazuriz’s past that it is dedicated to. Some of the descriptions are beautiful and flattering, while others are not quite as nice.
