A brief review of the history of famous logos and predictions of how they will look like in the future made by Stock Logos back in 2011. Interestingly enough, their prediction of Microsoft logo in 2020 seems similar to the new Windows 8 logo announced this year. Apple recently announced the passing of their beloved co-founder and chairman of the board, Steven P. Jobs (1955 – 2011), sparking an unstoppable flow of tributes coming from all corners of the world. This touching logo tribute, simply named “Thanks, Steve.” was created by Jonathan Mak Long, a 19-year-old designer living in Hong Kong. Jobs’ face appears to be taken from the cover of ‘Inside Steve’s Brain’, a book about Steve Jobs written by Leander Kahney.
Logo designer Graham Smith has created an interesting project called ©Brand Reversioning. In his words: “A Brand Reversion is a brand logo that has undertaken a creative change based on the visual style of another brand logo: Brand identities with a split personality.” Even if it feels that something is off, the new reversed logos are so well executed, that one might easily fall for this trick.
