Honest Slogans publishes company logos with hilarious slogans that represent how consumers might actually see the company instead of how it wants to be seen. Pepsi’s logo reminds us of its constant battle with Coca Cola for market share, while Google, assured of its dominance, dares us to just try and use another search engine.

Even the greatest among us had humble beginnings. This is just as true for websites, however, as it is for people. Even online giants like Amazon, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter were once itty-bitty websites with monochrome homepages, poorly-thought-out logos and boring or stark turn-of-the-century designs.
As much as I hate Apple and their often overpriced hardware, I do admit that their products look beautiful and can be used just like jewelry to make you look better. Heck, one of my friends even put an Apple logo sticker on her Dell laptop! *insert a facepalm image here* However, with more and more people getting Macs these days it’s getting harder to stand out of the crowd. Apple recently announced the passing of their beloved co-founder and chairman of the board, Steven P. Jobs (1955 – 2011), sparking an unstoppable flow of tributes coming from all corners of the world. This touching logo tribute, simply named “Thanks, Steve.” was created by Jonathan Mak Long, a 19-year-old designer living in Hong Kong. Jobs’ face appears to be taken from the cover of ‘Inside Steve’s Brain’, a book about Steve Jobs written by Leander Kahney.
Logo designer Graham Smith has created an interesting project called ©Brand Reversioning. In his words: “A Brand Reversion is a brand logo that has undertaken a creative change based on the visual style of another brand logo: Brand identities with a split personality.” Even if it feels that something is off, the new reversed logos are so well executed, that one might easily fall for this trick.
