We are Studio of Eden; a small design studio consisting of four friends who, after two years of construction and many designs completed our first collection.
We are focused on designing and creating wooden furniture, especially lamps. Our products are completely made from branches found in the dutch woods. Our products are handmade in our design studio in Amsterdam.
Every design is completely hand made, using slices of tree trunks and branches, which makes each product unique and really gives them their own character.
Everything in the economy revolves around consumption. Manufacturers constantly provide new designs or models, making existing products redundant or old fashioned. This phenomenon causes tons of superfluous garbage and leads to a waste of materials and energy, as well as inflation promoting money traffic.
Therefore we designed Eden, a product made as a reaction against the large-scale waste. Eden is fully manufactured by hand, from the leftovers of nature: unprocessed tree branches found in the Dutch woods. The branches have been serrated into slices and hollowed out to form the base material of Eden. Each individual slice forms a unique puzzle piece that is eventually pieced together into the beautiful and intricate sphere that is Eden.
Eden is a strong product designed to withstand the test of time. After acquiring Eden she will eternally light up its owner’s life. Eden embodies the earthly paradise where everything is in eternal harmony. After two years of construction and many designs we completed our first collection and are ready to reveal it to the world.
