Back in May 2012 in Tenerife in the Canary Islands during a 15-day trip alone with my camera!
I was on the heights of the island where there are many highlights along the way, but I wanted to find a closer view of the sea of clouds.
I had seen in the distance against the bottom of the rocks out of the treetops.
So I started to trek through the forest… After 2 hours of walking, I finally arrived at the feet of this pile of rocks.
My idea was climb to the top but the only access was on the precipice 600 feet high!
I regained my breath and I the reflected few minutes to make a decision calmly!
I could leave! The sunset was soon! So I decided to climb with in fear, I needed my hands so I decided to drop my bag and my tripod and then climb to the top… I had no choice!
The best composition force me to be in balance with the vacuum on each side!
I made a time lapse sequence at sunset and waited 1:30 the night is dark enough to make some pictures of the Milky Way.
In all, I spent three hours up there, without moving, I had the biggest cramps in my life!
Needless to say that the night of descent was perilous and spooky!
My hands were frozen because in this region and at 2500 meters above sea level, it is very hot day and very cold at night…
Pictures full head and the camera, it was now begun a treck of 2:30 in a steep slope to return to the car, which was a few kilometers above, parked on the side of the road!
