Born in Transylvania, this self-taught artist is trying to reveal the beauty of his native land and the places he has visited.
The beauty of Romania is magnificent, despite the negative rumors about it. “ I am very well aware of the fact that Romania in some aspects leaves a lot to be desired, but I also know that few are those who see its qualities. The latter is the group I want to be a part of and I want to show that Romania has its marvels as well” says Andrei.
Romania’s authenticity lies in its old towns, which have preserved their traditions and habits.
“ When you visit them, you really feel like you’ve done a time warp and been transported back decades, if not more. And this is not a bad thing.
In the age where technology is everywhere, we need to rediscover how simplicity can be the essence of life. I paint landscapes that may very well disappear in the not-so-distant future, as the older generations are replaced by younger ones.”
If you appreciate the beauty of nature, value it and enjoy the view of outstanding landscapes you should definitely visit Romania. “Don’t get discouraged by the rumors you hear, because its wonders compensate for everything. However, if you cannot come here, you can always have a piece of Romania through my paintings.”
