Fashion designer Oscar de la Renta died today at the age of 82. The fashion industry is saying goodbye to one of the greatest designers ever.

In 82 he told he had cancer.

Oscar de la Renta had dressed many celebrities, politicians, first ladies, etc. He made the wedding dress of George Clooney’s bride, Amal Alamuddin a month ago.

He was the king of the colours. The dresses he made were glamorous, sexy and elegant. A woman wearing one of his pieces of art could not remain unnoticed. She became a queen of the night.

‘When I started designing clothes for women in the ‘60s, my typical customer got dressed in a suit and had lunch with friends,’’ de la Renta told The Washington Post in 2001. ‘‘Today she’s on the list of endangered species.’

Oscar De la Renta was born in Santo Domingo on July 22 1932. His origin and his hot blood had mark his fashion sign. He made dressed that were sexy and feminine. His dressed made a woman look more confident and bold.

‘‘He had a wonderful talent — for being able to see what looks best on women, what shapes make women look their best and what colors are the most flattering.
Lora Bush who were a big fan of his work says about Oscar de la Renta: ‘‘He had a wonderful talent — for being able to see what looks best on women, what shapes make women look their best and what colors are the most flattering.

‘‘If my life were to end now, I would have no regrets,’’ said the designer on his 40th birthday. ‘‘I’ve lived every day to the fullest, and I’ve had a marvelous time. I’ve tried to be nice to the people I care about, and ignore the ones I don’t. I enjoy what I’ve done.”
