Top Pizza Chain Employee Thinks His Job Is Sh*t, Reveals 10 Secrets Pizza Companies Don’t Tell You
Businesses use dirty tactics to screw over their customers. And even if a company holds itself to somewhat higher moral standards that doesn’t mean it’s being completely honest. To even the playing field, an Imgurian named MommaElle has shared the secrets they learned while working in a top US pizza chain restaurant, promising they’ll get you better deals.
This anonymous confession shouldn’t hurt the employee themselves. “I get paid $0.55 per completed order – no commission,” MommaElle wrote. “I hate watching people [lose] money just because they don’t know there are options.” Scroll down to become a fully informed pizza buyer! (Cover image: pix11)

People instantly started thanking the guy for the tips while also stating the job is nothing to be embarrassed about:
Those were 'secrets?' If you can't figure out that a two-topping pizza is cheaper than a Hawaiian perhaps you should stick to ramen.

So stoked you mentioned that. We all are. We were talking amongst ourselves and that was the main thing we were wondering about.
Load More Replies...I want to add to this. A lot of stores do not give you plates or napkins unless you ask for them. In my experience, if you order your "Easy Order" you will be paying more than you need to. You have to build your order each time using the deals available. That $2 charge for extra cheese has never shown up on an order I place online, but always comes if I phone in an order. They frequently have a "carry out" deal where you can get large pizzas for $5.99 but only if you go get it. That's $2 less per large over their typical best deal of $7.99 per large if you have it delivered (plus you save on the tip if you go fetch it yourself). They do advertise that deal, so keep an eye out for it. When they have it, it also shows up as a deal when ordering online, so you don't have to go looking for it, which is nice.
WTF? Somebody downvoted your comment. Somebody was so incensed you had extra tips they felt the need to tell you.

Rule of Thumb for any retail shopping - be it for food or clothing or anything - ALWAYS always "ASK". You will get it only if you ask for it. Even at the places where they have not mentioned any discount or SALE, I have often got good deals coz I asked. The people working at stores are human as you are and if you talk nicely and if they are allowed, they will always give you a deal. So - be Polite, ask for a deal, Say thanks if you get the deal or even if you didn't.
None of these are "secrets". If you regularly order pizza, all of this is completely obvious. Most of this has been standard since I got my first pizza delivery job back in 1988.
how do they 'charge me' for those packets of cheese and peppers when they don't even ask til after I have paid? I get that it's built into the price but this post infers that I am going to have to pay more if I do get them.
I didn't know you could sub BBQ sauce for the pizza sauce. Is that no charge at most places?
It might just be at Pizza hut but no charge! You can also get Alfredo sauce and a couple others.

Sorry this guy was embarrassed by his job. It's an honest living. Plus, he gave some major tips! Good for him.
I love pizza (who doesn't?) but my son laughs at me because I also love Digiorno frozen pizza. :-)
Tell your son, Digiornos frozen pizza is fu**ing delicious! Here's what you do. Next time you order pizza, save the box. Tell your kid you're ordering a pizza, and throw a Digiorno in the oven. When it's done throw it into the pizza box you saved. Tell him pizza is here, and let him dig in. When he says "WOW, this pizza is awesome!" then inevitably asks "Where's it from??" proceed to laugh your a*s off and say " ITS NOT DELIVERY, ITS DIGIORNOS!!!" while showing him the original Digiorno box the pizza came in lol!
Load More Replies...Um, they have always counted the extra cheese as one of my toppings at my Dominos (I always check the price before I submit my order).
I can get a "deluxe" house-brand frozen pizza from my local grocery store for about $3 and use that as the basis for a custom pizza that lets me add more of the stuff that I want.
Am I the only one who doesn't know what pizza place this is? I only do Pizza Hut or Domino's..

Load More Replies...If so, then the discount involves going to Domino's instead.
