I Photographed Personal Portraits Showing The Different Ways To Live One’s Own Skin
I took these seven portraits of different people with different stories, the common aspect being skin.
Skin is expressed in many ways. It’s the contact with our own bodies, it’s memory, it’s contact with others, it contains us and expands. It is the largest organ in our body, we can’t do without it. Sometimes we would like to hide it or change it, other times we want to immortalize it. Our skin may not represent us, or it could be our largest source of inspiration.
These seven portraits show six women and one man in different ways, but with the common element of skin. They all live it in their own way. It’s an invitation to wonder about our own. Are we happy in our skin?
