Giga and Shorena are Georgians (Caucasus), they’re extremal couple from Georgia , members of Climbers and Travelers Club ”Tetnuldi”. Shorena is a hiker, Giga_a professional mountain climber.
When they decided to get married , Giga decided that it was better if wedding ceremony is related to the places of their beloved.
So, they have wedding ceremony in church in Mountain Khvamli. Khvamli or Khomli is a limestone massif in western Georgia. It stands at 2,002 metres (6,568 ft) and forms a double cuesta, consisting of Cretaceous limestone units and covered by mixed forests. It presents to the south a bluff face of 300 metres (984 ft) height. Both cuestas have a northward-facing scarp perforated by numerous sinkholes and caves. Most important of the caves is called Tekenteri and has only one entrance—through the hollow of a large beech tree.
The caves of Khvamli feature in the 14th-century Georgian chronicle as the abode of treasures of the kings of Georgia. A local legend also makes Prometheus enchained to the bluffs of Khvamli, being perpetually tortured by a raven.
They also have a wedding photo shoot in Prometeus Cave, wich is one of Georgia’s natural wonders and one of the largest in the world and has many underground rivers. It was discovered in 1984. Its unique features include a variety of halls and landscape diversity. Four distinct layers were formed during different stages of the Earth’s development and tourists are able to journey through the historic territory by foot or in boats. Prometheus Cave is one of the most popular international tourist caves, and includes various types of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers, and lakes. The cluster of six caves differs significantly from each other in scale and the unique shapes of petrified flowstones found within. Golden Fleece cave meets all needs of international tourism level.
