I am Andreea and I am a graphic designer. I moved to Barcelona from Romania nearly 4 years ago.
Since I’ve been here, I am interacting with a lot of new people. But since I relocated in the Born neighbourhood (2 years ago) I feel like I’m living in a small village. Everyone knows everyone, everybody says “hi” and smiles. The salesgirl from the supermarket, the guy that has a shoes shop around the corner… And this always helps brightening up your day.
So, I decided to start this project, to illustrate each person that I meet every day. A big part of them is from Born, completing it with beautiful people from other parts of the world who inspired and touched my own existence.

Marta
Marta works for Barcelona Televisió. She is doing interviews on culture and society, her job and her interests filling her life uo with beautiful stories, which she’s more than happy to share with everyone. She is from Barcelona.
Fred
Fred put his soul to create the best bar in Barcelona smile emoticon He is from France and lives here now for many years. Guzzo is an entire universe, the jazz, funky, groove and soul music will steal your heart. There are every week live concerts and the food is as good as beautiful it looks. The interior design is at the same level, and makes you feel as home. All the people working there are helping to the amazing atmosphere. I will be posting these days every one of them.
Barbara
Barbara was passing every day in front of a donut shop in Born neighborhood, admiring the store front. One day, she saw they are renting the space and she decided to open the Last Tango, that is a little treasure. From outside, you don’t know what to think, but once inside, you will find unique collections of clothes and jewelry, made with passion by Barcelona’s designers. Oscar is also a part of the Last Tango’s project, and I will present him soon.
Gon
Today is Gon’s turn, from Argentina. He is every day in the coolest shop with hats! All the colors and shapes. If you want a sunny day with smiles even when is cloudy, you can find him in Plaça de la Llana 6.
Olivia
She is Olivia, from Barcelona, gracious and dynamic, adding a touch of sensuality to the colourful Guzzo team. Always a pleasure sharing a big smile with her.
Angél
Ángel, from Huelva, Spain. He is one of the first opening in the morning. At 7 he is already in front of the market Santa Caterina to sell you newspapers, magazines and chocolate. He has a warm look and an always there smile.
Andra
Andra, from Romania also. We know each other since we were 11. We are living together here and we share every day the good and the bad things, passing together through all.
Cip
Cip is from Romania. He enjoys to travel and he is doing a lot of beautiful things. Every coffee and beer with him comes with stories. Sara
Sara, from Sweden, is also always in the tattoos studio! She is always with the smile on her face, always nice and always ready to help and to answer to all worries and questions. Again, i highly recommend the studio!
Matias
Matias is always fuuuuull of energy and spreads it all around. He is from Peru. He is always using expressions from his country, so soon i may be ready to visit Peru.
Cecilia
Cecile is making the best cocktails in town! She is from Argentina and works also in Guzzo. She is always super nice, always smiling. It is always a pleasure being attended by her.
Franco
Franco is from Argentina and he adds to my list of people sometimes extremely passionate with the work they’re doing. His joy is brought by involving himself in every aspect of the company, ensuring the best workflow and development of sustainable and innovative fashion concepts. You can check anytime Maians and Hatquarters, and you’d probably find him there too.
Estela
Estela created together with her boyfriend the beautiful designish shop OMG BCN. She is from Barcelona, and visiting her shop you will find a lot of amazing products made in Barcelona and the smile of Estela that is always happy to help. Don’t miss it in Placa de la Llana 7!
Ali
Ali, from Pakistan. He has the best fruits and vegetables and he always asks you how was your day and tells you about the adventures that he has every day with the tourists. If you wanna make a visit he is in Placeta d’en Marcús!
Milena
Milena is from Argentina. She is always very chic and colourful, she has a very unique style, she is smiling and friendly smile emoticon Milena also works in the beautiful place Guzzo.
Sole
As i promised, more to come from the tattoo studio Sta Demonia. Sole, from Argentina, is also a great artist, you can check her work on the page of the studio. Her smile and her great tattoos will make you sure that you are in the right place!
Gabi
Gabi is from Brasil. He is working in the first temaki place from Barcelona. Temaki is a cone shaped hand made sushi. He is always nice, always smiling and willing to help you choose the best temaki.
Isabel
Isabel smile emoticon was in Barcelona for nearly one week in holidays. I am a magnet for beautiful people from Peru. We had super nice moments this week together and i can’t wait to meet her again somewhere.
Fernando
Fernando is the one that did my first tattoos. He is from Argentina. I highly recommend him and the studio for anyone that wants a tattoo. I went a little bit scared, but he took a lot of care of me and all went great. Super friendly and communicative. In next days i will post illustrations also of the other persons that are in the studio to meet them all!
Sabina
Sabina is one of my best friends since we were 15. heart emoticon She is from Romania, we went to same high school and college. She is living also in Barcelona. Sabina is one of the most passioned person for her work that i know. She is a typographer, alwaaaays with her letters around. She’s cheerful, and happy, and an amazing person! Santiago
Santiago is from Galicia, Spain. When i met him, he was playing with an amazing Rolleiflex.He is living already for 7 years in the Born neighbourhood, he is working on documentaries (right now on one for the VICE magazine) and he is doing concerts in his house of jazz, folk-finlandes and even medieval music.
Cristina
People that i meet is also about the people that i will meet because of this project. Cristina, from Moldova, that is also living in Barcelona, wanted to meet me because she liked the project and she wanted to know more about it. She is a smile, a very happy and optimistic person, with a lot of energy spreading around.
Alexis
Dj LeMarquis, Alexis, from Greece, is taking care of the good music at Guzzo together with Fred. He is using all his energy to make all of us there have fun and dance until the bar closes.
Sandra
Sandra. She is from Germany and she is one of my super special souls in this world. Fashion designer, with a great taste and vision for simple things, she just came back from Nigeria, where she worked for some months and had amazing experiences. She is always taking every opportunity that she meets and she is one of the bravest persons that i have ever met.
Pedro
Pedro is a journalist and a director of photography, that lives between Kenia and Barcelona. He also lived in Stockholm before, and he is doing also on documentaries. Together with Santiago, they are working now on the documentary for VICE magazine.
