It is 100% handmade work – embossing, modeling, painting, assembly – everything was done manually.

We used leather imported from the United States. We have only positive impressions so far. It is not only a pleasure to hold it in hands, but also to work with it is even more enjoyable. It is super flexible. After this leather, other ones feel a bit stiff. his is one of last creations of Alexey Mashskiy studio. Passport cover. It is 100% handmade work – embossing, modeling, painting, assembly – everything was done manually.

We transfer the sketch on moistened leather. Then we start the processes of embossing and modeling. The necessary places are cut with swivel knife. To make relief we need to cut pieces of thick chrome tanned leather. After that, using modeling tools, we create necessary relief on the backside of moistened leather and glue chrome tanned leather pieces.

These tools were used to create wool texture.

Working through the details of tiger’s muzzle.

After embossing we paint the leather with Fiebing’s dyes. Then we apply toned finish and Eco-Flo gel antique. Then we apply finish again. Of course, each layer of dye/finish must dry thoroughly.

It took 12 hours to dry the finish layer. Then we start working on details, here we used acrylic paints.

Finally what we’ve got. After complete drying, we again cover the tiger with several layers of finish.

The assembly comes next. We punch holes in all parts of the wallet. Then we stitch the parts with flat waxed thread. All the cuts and edges are polished and painted.

The passport cover is ready. What a pleasure to hold it! Certainly, photo can’t show all relief and texture. Thank you for your attention).
