The Spanish artist Miguel Angel Belinchón or “Belin” (previously) practiced practically photorealistic murals. It was in 2016, however, that his work began to mutate with the adoption of a Cubist style, lengthening the necks of his subjects and segmenting their faces in ways that would make Picasso himself proud. Despite distorted facial features, many of his new works feature recognizable themes. Belin’s paintings honor some of his great inspirations, exhibiting the similarities of painters like Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring and Dali, along with famous themes like the Mona Lisa.

The current solo exhibition of Belin is named after its self-created style, Post Neo Cubism, which can be seen at 24 Beaubourg, based in Paris, until June 25, 2017.
