My Photos Prove That What’s His Name Is Wrong About Mexicans

I moved to Mexico from the United States two years ago. I quickly realized that, no, Mexicans are not evil criminals who want to invade America. In fact, they are some of the most wonderful family-oriented people in the world. To prove it, I created La Gente (The People) with 210 isolated portraits of my neighbors – kids, priests, moms & dads, street vendors, firemen and so on. This work is on the website at www.lagente.mx and on Facebook. I am also handing out 2,000 free 4-color newspapers of the work around town. La Gente is my gift to these wonderful people.

I am going to continue my “The People” series in Selma Alabama, Koh Phangan Thailand, Lagos Nigeria and beyond.
