Don't sweat the little things...

Don't forget documents, taxes and bank account managements. Those administrative things make me feel very much like an adult. Once I have to do these myself, I realised I took it for granted that my parents did it for us kids.

I always locked the door. This has always been a line for me. I pee alone! Sometimes, with 4 girls in 5 years, it was the only quiet time I got all day! That 2 minutes of peace kept me going for another hour before I took another bathroom break.

Many parents quickly feel the need to protect their newborn child, but that is not the same thing as bonding and loving. Many parents (mothers especially) feel guilty if they don't experience this instant love rush, that they heard so much about, but it's totally normal. It can take time to bond and start having true and deep feelings of love for your baby and that's OK.

My oldest child's first words were Da Da Da Da Da..... I was at home with him all day while hid Da was at work.

Leaving my son at daycare and he's be screaming, crying -- driving to work I'd have to pull the car over I'd be sobbing, call the daycare, "Oh, he stopped right after you left."
