I Make Modern Embroidery Pieces That Show Animals In All Their Colors
My main interests have always been illustration, nature and fabric art. These are the three ingredients which I use to create my work.
Embroidery to me feels very therapeutic, once you have the image you want to stitch on the fabric, it becomes meditative to weave the yarn through the fabric and see a picture slowly, stitch by stitch, emerge. I get into a „flow“ and can zone out completely from my problems and worries. I think you can see the love that went into it and the slow work progress in the final embroidery pieces. The works are essentially drawings that have been brought off the page and into a more tactile, vibrant form.
I leave each embroidery in its hoop, thus creating a singular frame, that can be hung on walls and become an eye-catching artwork.I hope you enjoy these pieces!
