Prison Break Star Says ‘It Hurt To Breathe’ After Seeing This Fat-Shaming Meme Of Him, Stuns Fans With Response
Most of us have heard about the iconic TV show Prison Break by now, an incredibly addictive series that revolves around two brothers trying to escape from prison. Back in 2005, when the show started, everyone fell in love with the main character Michael Scofield. The famous actor behind this incredibly smart and brave protagonist is Wentworth Miller, a talented artist that managed to perfectly portray Michael’s unique character.
But one thing stood out the most, and that was Wentworth Miller’s incredibly beautiful physique. Everyone praised his features, and he was often spoken about as the ‘sexiest man alive.’
However, back in 2016 a new meme appeared on the Internet that showed two pictures of Miller side by side, revealing a definite change in his body shape. What made the comparison even worse was the comment next to it that said: “When you break out of prison and find out about McDonald’s Monopoly…”
After the image went viral, Wentworth Miller decided that he was not having it. The actor went on his Facebook page to declare his opinion on what was clearly fat-shaming, also stating that everyone should think twice before they judge others. In his heartfelt message, Wentworth revealed that when the picture was taken he was living with depression, and even having suicidal thoughts. He explained that food became the only thing he was looking forward to in his day. Now, Miller’s text is seen as not only portraying his strength, but is also a motivational message to everyone who suffers from similar mental health issues.

Share on Facebook"Fit to flab?" More like "Fit to FAB." Dude's looking pretty great, and mind you, that's coming from a lesbian!
I agree! But mostly I am so glad he admits to his depression and struggles with mental health. After Anthony Bourdain Kate Spade killed themselves within days of each other, we MUST learn to talk about mental health issues and remove the stigma. Celebrities have no problem discussing cancer, diabetes or other health issues. Why is the brain the only organ in the body we should be ashamed of when it gets ill? I hope this actor is doing better, is happy, at peace, and well.
Load More Replies...Either way, he still looks great. Better be food than drugs, wise choice.
Agreed. He still looks better than most average guys. Heck he could probably gain 50 lbs and still look good.
Load More Replies...Thank you. I was just about to Google his name to see if he is Captain Cold. I love the way Captain Cold speaks. Just Amazing.
Load More Replies...Good for him. Love yourself before you can love anyone else, and the haters can rot in a special hell.
And this is where I am right now! use to be 13st when i was fit and healthy. But now trying to fight my demons food brought me comfort and now i'm just shy of 17st!! People do not realise how hard it is to combat these demons. When i think i'm on top of them BANG!! they are there!! To quote a Bring me the Horizon song, "i can't drown my demons they know how to swim!" That's how it feels to me. But being a celebrity and in the lime light, it must be so much harder!! Good reply mate and keep on battling, because that's what this is........a battle.
Wow. Thank you for sharing his struggles. I hope this post helps a lot of people
Way to go Wentworth, you are amazing, to admit that you have mental health issues it not easy and that makes you very brave. I find it disgusting that people shame other people when they have no idea what is going on in their lives, I myself suffer from depression, severe panic attacks, anorexia nervosa and bulemia and I know that it is not easy. Life isn't easy and idiots who shame others to make themselves feel better about there insecurities, definitely do not help. So grow up, worry about your own issues and leave other people alone.
I'm so happy to see the positive responses he received. People need to know that for every jerk out there are at least 1000 real human beings who care.
Actually, I mainly know him from the Flash. :p Hehe Snart. What a fun name.
This really breaks my heart. We treat each other so poorly, then act shocked that depression and suicide rates are so high. I know that the cause is more than just being bullied. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain, but being treated like that only makes it worse. We need to support each other, be kind, and try to end this chronic bullying.
I'm okay with both sides. I have no problem with funny internet memes, and neither do you. EVERYBODY has laughed at some at some point so you can't cherry pick and say which are okay and which aren't because that's hypocritical. It's also important to realize that they are real people who may be going through some s**t as well, so they aren't victimless.
This is a struggle he is choosing to share with the world. He is CHOOSING the share how a mocking meme hurt him because of all his struggles in life. While pain is inevitable, people dont have to go out of their way on the internet to make others hurt worse.
Load More Replies...He was being mocked on the internet. He didn't just speak out for no reason, he was defending himself and explaining his situation. There's a difference between that and attention seeking.
Load More Replies...It's like you didn't read the article properly at all or didn't want to. You're too far up your own a*s to count any other perspective than your own.
