Common everyday items, which one would easily discard during their rubbish removal rounds, are often given new life by creative artists. You would be surprised what beautiful works of art can be born out of various materials that you throw in the bin every day. The only limiting factor is one’s imagination and that is one thing that certain artists have long overcome.

One of the great aspects of recycled art pieces is not the entertainment they provide or the fact they help creative artists make a living, but rather the lessons it teaches: that everything can be brought back to life with the right idea and given new purpose by the right idea and skill. Even abandoned items make for beautiful transformations given the right idea. Here are few artists and their notable works made out of various discarded materials:

–Animal sculptures from used tires by Yong Ho Ji – this Korean artist utilises used tires and turns them into realistic animal sculptures. The feeling they give off is of savage power contained within and intimidation. The 10-foot-long sculpture of a shark is one of his most famous ones.

–Robot animals by Ann Smith – various machine parts and broken electronic equipment make for Ann Smith’s animal robots. Her miniature robo-zoo animals feature critters of all kind, antelopes, turtles, birds and many other animal kingdom representatives made of pure waste disposal material.

–Metal sculptures by Andrew Chase – being a photographer, Mr Chase sure has an eye for detail, judging by the great appearance of his metal animal sculptures. There is even a dinosaur sculpture with metal claws, which looks like something that came straight out of a movie scene!
