For as long as I can remember, I have been creative. I've always loved using my imagination to create. Whether it be drawing, painting, or even musically, being creative is just apart of who I am. So inevitably I became a Joiner/carpenter for a living, building wonderful pieces of furniture, staircases, doors. If it's made from wood, then I have probably built it. I was even the head joiner in charge of the restoration work around Kensington Palace and Windsor castle.
So Little Lodgings. This adventure of mine all came about around the time my mum was turning 60, and I had run out of ideas of what to give her. Now my mum adores her garden, it's a wonderful place, full of beautiful plants and lovely quirky coves to explore.
Every year she has cared for the same family of birds in a nest burrowed into her shed, so I thought I'd attempt to make her and them a new whimsical bird house for them to all enjoy.
She loved it, and so did her friends, so after encouragement from family and friends I decided to build up the courage and do my 1st craft market, it was nerve racking but I received so much praise and admiration and i knew then, that Little Lodgings would become a special part in my life and the rest, as they say, is history.
I have sold to people from all over the world, and I hope to continue for many years to come.
