My name is Antonina. I am from Poland, but I live with my Serbian husband and two sons in Serbia. I have finished Secondary Art School, and Collage of Arts and Crafts in Poland but I’m a full-time mom now. I couldn’t find a job, so I started handmaking dolls to express my artistic passion and do what I love the most – to make children happy.
My first doll was a rabbit that I found in the “Burda” – tailor newspaper. And it became my older son’s favorite cuddly toy even if is wasn’t perfect. After that, I tried to make Tilda and Waldorf type of doll, but it wasn’t that!
In the beginning, my dolls were self-embroidered, but I found out that painting face by acrylic waterproof paints is easier for me and give me more capabilities to make different faces and mines. They have emotions, they look like dreaming about something, thinking. That s how my dolls became alive!
