London is a massive city full of loads of small towns. Each has its own landmarks and attractions. Instead of focusing on the well-known landmarks such as Tower Bridge and Big Ben, I’ve been capturing the overlooked old and new landmarks of the City and have been trying show them in a new light.

The Tardis – Earls Court Station – London

Police boxes, which are now famous for being Doctor Who’s time traveling spacecraft, were common in London between 1929 and 1969. They were used by police on the beat to communicate with the police station. The introduction of portable radios saw them phased out in the late sixties.

This police box, next to Earls Court Station, is the last remaining one in London. It was introduced as part of a revival of the system in 1996 that never took off.

Postman Pat and The Catford Cat – London

A regular site for anyone stuck on the South Circular.

The Catford Cat, a giant fibreglass sculpture of a black cat above the entrance to the Catford Centre. Looks at lot like Postman Pats cat Jess.

Emirates Airline – Royal Victoria Dock – London

Popular during the Olympics. The Emirates Air Line, the London cable car service, connects the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks.

ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower – London

Built for the Olympics 2012, and long forgotten.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit, is a 114.5-meter (375-foot) ruby red tower in the center of Olympic Park.
