Let’s Do More Than Wishful Thinking: Let’s Be Part Of A Dream!

I need you help in making my dream happen, I owe it to myself to take a leap of faith, to start an adventure, jumpstart from a spark to a dream and make it a memorable journey for everyone. It is not a startup, a pitch, or a business plan, simply because my heart is having trouble translating these terms. It’s a promise to make something wonderful for me & for others who share the same though: life is an experience, traveling is the icing on the cake and the place to stay could very well be the cherry on top.
You probably guessed by now that this is not your usual article, but i thought that we could all use a bit of a twist, in more places than just our cocktail. So, let’s call it what it is: a success story, told in real time and you are all invited to take part in it, from the very shy beginning. A story is nothing without the people who believe in it, who make it their own and are proud to be a part of it.
It all started as a DIY project mixed with the need to help my mom with some old furniture and then came the “what if question” that started the ball running: what if we could do it this on ourselves, save money and restore the pieces? One light bulb over my head and several projects later, it came to me as loud as a calling can get: what if we could you all the great things we’ve done and create an awesome place for people to stay, while visiting our charming medieval town?
You can blame the meddling “what if?”, the happy coincidence of us living in a lovely & history filled town, the years of experience we had as hosts for couch surfers and airbnb, the real pleasure we have of meeting new people and making sure they have a real experience and a blast while staying with us or the human desire of enhancing all the above, but it was clear: we are going to open a boutique/hostel and bottle up all our best wishes!
I am reaching out to all traveling souls, open hearted people that know the importance of working on a dream, the thrill of seeing new places, the absolute pleasure of returning from a day full of sightseeing to a place that ties the experience together and that never once makes you think of all the money you spent for accommodation. Traveling is not a commodity for the rich, but it should be a rich experience!
