Students at a specialist graphic design school have reimagined their favourite films and books in a series of beautiful handmade covers and posters.

The trainee designers at Shillington ditched their computers for the challenge, turning to traditional illustration and craft skills to make each cover and poster by hand.

Some of the famous titles given the handmade makeover were The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Adventures of Tintin, The Jungle Book, My Fair Lady and Wall Street – and even the weighty Melway Greater Melbourne Street Directory.

The work was one of the briefs given to students as part of their full-time graphic design courses at Shillington campuses in the UK, USA and Australia. Fancy learning how to create work like this yourself? Courses are starting this month in New York, London and Manchester.
