Wife Won’t Let This Guy Throw Things Out So He Hung It As “Art” On The Walls Instead

If you have a garage then chances are you probably have a bunch of stuff sitting inside it that you probably don’t need or want. However, for reasons ranging from the sentimental to the downright inexplicable, you can’t quite bring yourself to throw it out either.

But one Redditor who goes by the name of michaelsiemsen came up with a genius solution to all of that unwanted-but-sort-of-not-unwanted junk. His wife wouldn’t let him throw it out so he decided to do the next best thing – he used it to decorate their front room by turning it into hanging wall art! And as you can see, he’s done a pretty good job of it too. “Surprisingly, it’s taken slightly more effort to hang all that shit than it would’ve to do pretty much anything else with it,” he wrote on Reddit. Effort well spent if you ask us!

“For the past two years, anything sitting in our garage that the wife says we can’t get rid of, I’ve hung as “art” in our otherwise useless front room”

It's all fun and games, until your sitting on the couch shamelessly watching The Bachelor and a damn door falls on your head!

Brilliant idea! I only wish I had a large, "useless" room to do same!

Mark Rothko's paintings look like samples for repainting someone's wall. If that's art, the children in my day care centre do it better.

Living in a place prone to earthquakes I just keep picturing those things falling on my head.

Actually it's "art" ... you know there is an ironic touch to captions

Funny, but destructiveness does not neccesarily aid a relationship.

"Genius solution"?? I think not. Just because it's on a wall does not constitute it as art. Different, yes - art, NO

For Yvonne and James → Note the part where I say "if you have good explanations for it" - it's not simply because it's hung on a wall or because it was posted in museum. I wrote that comment with Marcel Duchamp in mind and I still stand by my opinion. No I don't go around taking photos of broken glass claiming it's art, what I actually do is draw characters and illustrations and claim them as little presents for friends. Also, once again, it's not because something is hung on a wall, it's the way it's hung - the position and spot picked by the "artist", the corelation with other objects equally carefully placed where they are etc. But, as Hiruya in a separate comment already pointed, there is an ironic touch to this whole article, and that's totally fine. And thank you, guess, for your support.
