The work is made out of 100 reflective chevron street signs. The signs have been assembled in a color scheme that forms one singular mandala. The hypnotic colorful design within the circle (in its blue outline) hides the image of a blue wildebeest.

The piece is influenced by African craftwork designs usually found in bowls and plates. The artwork has been placed at a T-junction. When cars drive passed it, it illuminates at night. Location: Johannesburg, South Africa. Dimensions: 5 meter X 5 meter.

I consider the street as an open canvas. I work with urban interventions and collect every day found materials, transforming them and placing them back where they came from, to become a part of the city’s journey.
