Singapore Is Testing Glow-In-The Dark Paths, And It’s A Really Bright Idea
Singapore is well known for being innovative. In fact, the small city state has been ranked the most innovative country in Asia several times by the Global Innovation Index. And now the country is pushing new boundaries by testing out a track that glows in the dark in order to improve safety and visibility at night.
Located between Choa Chu Kang Road and Upper Bukit Timah Road, the 400m track, known as the Rail Corridor, is split up into four sections containing various different surface materials: fine gravel; grass and gravel; earth-colored porous concrete; and natural non-toxic light green strontium aluminate minerals. The last of these absorbs UV light during the day, allowing the path to emit a soft glow at night. The different surface materials are currently being tested to determine which one is the most popular, and the public are being invited to try out the track and provide feedback about the project. Share on FacebookWooaaah, it's like a fairyland! They should really do these everywhere!
That is really cool. the only thing that would make it better is if it was multicolored. can they even make multi colored glow in the dark? I remember it when I was a kid but I could be just remembering a dream or something
Not any more than phosphorescent fungus would in the woods, or the tens of thousands of watts of artificial light coming from the rest of the city...

So yeah. http://www.holland.com/global/tourism/holland-stories/van-gogh/van-gogh-roosegaarde-cycle-path.htm https://www.crazynauka.pl/w-polsce-powstala-swiecaca-w-ciemnosci-sciezka-rowerowa/
Yes, we are just 1st in Asia to adopt such wonderful idea from Poland and Holland. From a country (Singapore) where everything is just straightforward, this is a very exciting event for us. Please pardon of the word 'Innovative' being used in this article.
