We Created The Giphoscope To Bring Animated GIFS To Real Life

We have conceived, designed and handcrafted the Giphoscope with the objective of proposing a minimalistic, retrofuturistic analog GIF player, handcrafted in Italy.

As GIF creators we know it’s very easy to show an animated GIF on the web, but it’s hard to find an offline GIF player to exhibit and sell a GIF as a single, unique artwork.

Inspired by The Mutoscope, an early cinema device, the Giphoscope turns GIFs, short video clips, vines and even a single picture into a timeless interactive sculpture. Thanks to the Giphoscope, animated GIF becomes a tangible and exclusive artwork.
