Father Cat Supports Mom Cat Giving Birth, Wins Everyone’s Hearts
Caring, loving and supportive. Fathers like that are great role models and positive examples for everyone. Even when they are cats.
Thuy Duong Panda from Vietnam shared a series of touching photographs on Facebook of her Father cat, Yello, supporting the brand new mom cat, Tam The, during and after giving birth. Yello looks so comfortable in his new role, snuggling the kitties and cozying up with the mom that it could make anyone jealous of such love and devotion.
The owner told Bored Panda, that there are four healthy newborns and that this is the first litter for both parents. Thuy Duong also told that Yello is not sweet with everyone and that he only loves her, her dog and, of course, his adorable cat family.
Take a look at the pictures of the brand new family below.

At first, this new dad, names Yello, looked stressed
Then he was caring and attentive
The new mom, Tam The, just went through a lot, bringing 4 healthy babies to this world
So the cat dad was there to support her
Caring and loving his babies
New mommy can be sure to have help when needed
They might be the sweetest cat family ever

Share on FacebookOk I'll be the negative one. Baby kittens are cute, but please spay & neuter your pets. I volunteer in a cat shelter and so many are unloved
Not negative at all! Having them spayed or neutered is the humane thing to do if you don't intend to breed them.

just for everybody's information: this cat family is located in thailand and was just reshared on imgur. cats as pets is a fairley new development in thailand, so their guardians are not used to spay/neuter their cats. and therefore there are already many stray/feral cats there. i want to refer to an article about a very famous picture showing a dirty cat clinging to a shoe. this was taken in thailand but the cat was not saved by the photographer. please, spay and neuter your pets! kittens are wonderful, yes, but there are too much of them already! http://pudicat.blogspot.co.at/2013/02/the-kitten-in-picture-final.html https://www.facebook.com/thuyduong.panda/posts/1102102096566233
oh.. this happened in vietnam, sorry for the wrong country

Those are such awesome pics. They are so warm and loving and I must say he is one awesome dad. I do have one more thing, Please,do the humane way and please spay and neuter. They are such a happy family
So sweet to see such an attentive dad! Do spay and neuter. There still are so many unwanted kittens out there. Adopt, don't shop. In my area, several pet stores work with our area shelter to get pets adopted. I got two of my cats at an adoption event at a local pet store. I walked in intending to get more food for my birds, dog, and cat. I left with a new pair of kittens too. My cat accepted them very quickly. He couldn't wait to get into the carrier and start loving on them. My dog gave them a sniff and ignored them.
This is beautiful! Most dad cats are not around for this. It's a rare connection... They should just spay and neuter the parents now, overpopulation is no joke!
we never ever see the daddy man... but this is adorable! Scrolled up down several times - - - LOVELY AS HELL
Omg,you can just feel the unbelievable love coming from them, bless them.
I agree with the compliments. But what a beautiful thing to witness, I loved it.
Reminds me of my Cats Tommy a big ginger kitty and Christmas a Calico princess! They really loved each other and he was the best Dad to his kittens! When Tommy died a couple of years later Christmas was broken hearted and never got close to any of our other cats! They were a real pair!
I need to print this out and mail it to mine as a passive-aggressive Father's Day gift. Just have to track down his address first...
I didn't realize this could happen in the cat world. I thought cats were a love 'em and leave 'em kind of species. Gave me the feelings.
Male cats usually get the female pregnant and want nothing to do with her. But in some cases this happens, and I think this is the best way.

Shut up with all that Cuteness! How Adorable! That cat is more responsible than alot of men I know!
A few years back I had a mama and daddy cat like this she had them in winter so you'd always find him curling around her and the kittens
He was an inside and outside cat and he brought her home to us already pregnant so we had them fixed afterwards

I think it's precious, but I agree that the cats - and the kittens when they're old enuf- need to be neutered!
The male cat just want his bed. The kitties are also there... But he loves the mother and licks her, as do cats who love other cats.
I know cats. I've had them all my life. Am I truly the only one thinking that he took one look at those kittens and thought, "Foot warmers!"
I know cats too and it's pretty obvious that the dad actually cares about the mum and his kittens. It may be unusual but there's no rule in life as to how we all have to behave. We all divert sometimes. Just enjoy this adorable set of pictures. Don't ruin it. The dad was grooming the mum while she was giving birth which is a sign that he was being caring. Cats groom each other when they care about each other.
Load More Replies...YES, its "cute" but WHY let the mother cat have a litter of kittens when MILLIONS of cats/ kittens are killed in shelters in the U.S. yearly? As for the father cat......very weird. I guess because he senses they're his? In Nature, a male cat, un neutered, would KILL newborn kittens, just as would male lions that take over a pride or a stallion that takes over a herd. The idea is to force the females to go into heat, so HIS genes can be passed on, not those of other males! NORMALLY he would kill the kittens and NORMALLY the mother cat wouldn't let him near them! I suppose because they all live together, instincts have been changed......!
So beautiful but am i the only one to realize both parents look so alike, not just colour wise but facial wise? I think they may be brother and sister but hey it's still heart warming to see! <3
