You know the story, you get drunk, wake up, realize your driver’s license is gone, then a $6,947 bill for your first-class trip to Maldives arrives. Ok, maybe the last part isn’t the result of most Friday evenings, but it’s what William George Armstrong found after his night out.

“Thank you so much for popping in the other day. We certainly appreciate your business and hope your beginning to get excited about your upcoming first class flights to the Maldives,” Flight Centre wrote in their letter. They also included the price in big red letters. “Please keep in mind, balance is due in full on Friday, November 10 at 12.05pm.”

But before Will got a heart attack, everything turned out to be an elaborate prank by Flight Centre Cheltenham’s staff member, Steve. The bottom of the letter revealed the guy wasn’t drunk-shopping at all. “George, we’re just kidding. We’ve found you’re driving license (enclosed) outside our shop and thought you might need it,” the Flight Centre employee wrote. This emotional rollercoaster of a story has reached 160k likes on Twitter and whether or not it was a PR stunt, kudos to Steve for his awesome sense of humor.
