About a week ago, a police officer in Novo Horizonte, Brazil, saw a neighbor’s dog called Julie going through trash when the canine found something unexpected. At first the man thought it was a dead kitty, but it turned out to be a puppy – and he was very much alive. The officer immediately contacted Marco Antonio Rodrigues, a local animal rescuer, and asked for help. “[When I arrived], it was a moment of sadness… how can someone act like this?” Rodrigues told Bored Panda.
The dog who rescued the pup and brought it to the attention of the officer, made it clear she didn’t want to leave the baby, so they allowed her to watch over him. “She played the most important role by saving the puppy,” Rodrigues wrote online about the heroic dog.
Still, the big dog wasn’t producing the milk, so they had to find a canine who had milk and could nurse the baby dog – and they did. The foster parent Lupi is feeding the pooch and making sure he is growing stronger everyday.
“One dog found the puppy in the trash and another is being his mom,” Rodrigues wrote. “What a beautiful thing!”. The pup was named Chaplin, and the tiny fellow will be ready for adoption soon.

I don't understand there have many shelters but they choose to dump the dog like they don't give a f**k. Becareful your karma will coming soon. Thank to Julie and Lupi helping Chaplin to get better.
It's also a pretty common practice that if the pup (or kitten) is so young it needs to be nursed, they often just end up euthanizing because they dont' have the funds or the staffing to take care of an animal that needs to nurse (which is often). I almost lost my cat to that, but one of the vet techs graciously decided to take care of them on her OWN time and her own dime! I adopted 8 weeks later.

Despite the nice story, I can hardly avoid wondering how the poor puppy ended in the trash. Most possible explanations are rather disturbing.
Considering it was found alone without a mother or other puppies, I wonder if somebody thought it was stillborn. It may be that it was born into a litter that is being very well cared for and the owner would be mortified to find that the puppy was still alive.
