Design Your Very Own Chocolate Bar

Have you ever dreamed of being able to create your very own chocolate?

Finally, you can do this at www.createmychocolate.com.

German start-up company named chocri allows pandas like you and me not only choose from three base chocolates (dark, milk or white), but also select from over 80 toppings.

You can choose from the usual suspects like peanuts, raisins, and almonds, to fun, unexpected ingredients like organic flax seeds, fennel and coriander!

The combinations are endless (literally).With over 10 billion combinations to choose from, you are almost guaranteed to have the one an only chocolate of this kind.

They are launching in US this month (Jan 5 for those who sign up on their website, Jan 11 for everyone else).

P.S.: I was the lucky panda who got special invitation to test their websites and chocolates back in 2009. So, here are my 3 chocolates:

1. For Myself, because I’m Going nuts for nuts!

Ingredients: Milk Chocolate with Roasted Almonds, Hazelnut Brittle, Real Gold Flakes, Toasted Hazelnuts and coconut Shavings

Look: 9/10 – the chocolate inside looks very beautiful, but the package could be a bit better

Smell: hard to resist, the coconut shavings gives the perfect scent

Taste: 10/10 and probably the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten. It’s like my favorite chocolate “Ritter Sport” (with hazelnuts) combined with my favorite candies “Raffaelo”.

Overall: a perfect chocolate for nut lovers like me

2. For my Girlfriend, because I Love Her :*

Ingredients: White chocolate with Strawberries, Blueberries, sour cherries, Cranberries and a Heart

Look: 7/10 – the worst of my 3 chocolates, and this is very sad, because it’s the one for my girlfriend :/

Smell: haven’t opened yet

Taste: can’t smell it through the package

Overall: can’t tell yet, waiting for my girlfriend to review it.

3. For People I Hate

I’ve tried my best to include very unrelated toppings here and I think I’ve managed perfectly.

Ingredients: Dark chocolate with Gummy Bears, ground Chili, Chives, Jalapenos and flower Mix

Look: very beautiful as seen in my photo above

Smell: like dark chocolate with flowers

Taste: first it seemed funny as it was sweet and a bit hot, but then I got a very strong burning sensation in my mouth, and it was no longer fun. Thank God I only ate a very small piece of it.

Overall: tastes like crap, perfect present for bad kids and people you hate.

Chocolate bars are hand-manufactured in Germany, with organic, premium quality chocolate from Belgium.
