Daughter Hilariously Illustrates Her Dad’s Ambivalent Relationship With Their Cat In 8 Honest Comics
Full-time comic creator Akiro Tea’s life seems like a yin and yang. Last time, we covered illustrations she created while petsitting a dog but now it’s all about a feline. Akiro has shared a set of intimate comic strips about the relationship between her dad Pietro and her pet cat Fritz. It reveals their bond by offering glimpses into their everyday lives one cartoon drawing at a time, and you’ll definitely feel like you know the two after you’re done scrolling.
“I think my adorable cat is German, but I like to pretend that [Fritz] is Kazakh,” the Berlin-based artist told Bored Panda. “I got him from a Kazakh family. But they [actually] got him from the streets in Germany, where they live.” And even though Pietro and Fritz have such a colorful friendship, it’s Akiro’s mom who mostly takes care of the kitty.
These black and white drawings are part of ‘Awkward Moments,’ an ongoing webcomic project that Akiro has been working on for a few years now. How she is able to find time for her site while simultaneously working on her commercial projects seems like a real mystery, but let’s hope she continues with her cute comics!

I've got a teenage son who likes us to think he's macho and insists he hates cats, but I have pictures of him snuggling our kitties. I tell him if he doesn't behave, I will post them on social media for all of his friends to see. ^_^
