Colored Pencil Portrait Of My Wife Robin

I drew this portrait of my wife using prismacolors. I used a photo reference on my iPad and drew it freehand from there in pencil and then layered the colors in. It took a number of days to complete. I was working on it for a few hours each day.

Hi! My name is Craig Tubbs and I am a New Orleans based artist. I work in a variety of styles and media, but primarily like working with graphite, colored pencils, pen and ink, and acrylic paint. I enjoy photo realism on one end, fantasy and illustrative work on the other. I like to create whatever I am inspired by at the moment. I rely heavily on nature; animals and forests for my work's inspiration.
