“How To Wrap A Present When You Have A Cat” (8 Pics)

After you get a cat, some things change forever. Gift wrapping is one of them. Luckily, Nick Filippou from Baltimore, Maryland, has created a comprehensive cat comic guide, explaining this complex task to all the newbie feline owners. “Right now, I have one silly cat, Minnie,” the artist behind i iz cat told Bored Panda. “Minnie formerly was a feral cat from Little Flower Rescue, and I got to meet her as a volunteer. I fell in love immediately. She too has a clipped ear like the kitty in my comics.”

“I had another former feral, named Sylvia, who sadly passed away last year,” Nick said. “She was a tortoiseshell cat with three legs. I adopted both of them at the same time about four years ago. Sylvia had some serious tortitude… but she was a loyal and very cute cat. I miss her every day.”

“Minnie is the sweetest and most talkative cat I had ever met. She’s very playful, and everyone who meets her just falls in love. She’s also very mischievous… and the inspiration for my funny comics! We always catch her trying to open cabinets, knock things off of tables, and she even climbed our Christmas tree this year, which made for a pretty cute drawing.”

“She’s also is a little famous on YouTube, with her ‘Ya Hungry?‘ video compilation with over 4 million views.”

“I’ve always enjoyed drawing cute doodles, and I decided to start drawing my cat as a comic about two years ago,” the artist added.” He even self-published his first comic book on Amazon, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, As Told By The Cat last year.”

To the people who suggest to put the cat in another room: if I put my cat in another room, it grabs the door (the door has parts that can be grabbed, all my doors are like that, wood and glass) with her claws and roughly shakes the door while meowing as loud as she can. It feels and hears like during a 7.0 earthquake. And trust me, no one can wrap gifts on a 7.0 earthquake.

To people suggesting put the cat in the other room - moving the cat 57 times is actually the sweet and fun part - cat parents are not really complaining about doing it

My cat doesn't mess with me while I'm actually wrapping the presents, she rips them all up once they're under the tree. Little devil...

My senior cat passed away and I got a kitten. Now I haven’t had a kitten in 15 years and this is her first Christmas and I believe I’ve forgotten a lot!! My kitten is like your cat. She didn’t bother me wrapping but once they were under the tree the tissue paper was flying and boxes chewed up. She even climbed my tree 3 times that I know of. How that tree has managed to stay looking this good is amazing but I can’t say the same for my presents!! But I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
