I’m 22 and for 2 years I’ve been chasing the highlights and shadows in order to capture the perfect shapes. I’m always searching for a personal interpretation of an usual thing, place, as the shadows and highlights create the second reality of the things we see. Trying to avoid photography ˝rules˝ of the perfect exposure, I tend to get the 12 o’clock shot, as the shadows have the sharpest edges.
Few people pay attention to shadows, and even fewer realize that they show the raw reality excluding the details and giving us (the viewer) the opportunity to get in touch with our imagination. Shadows have personality and highlights highlight them. Just open your eyes, look around and the sensation of the second reality will reveal its’ presence.
