While most plants grow from seeds, UK-based artist Andy Elliott has a garden of bonsai trees that started from wires. He twists various lenghts of wire into trunks, branches, and leaves until an intricate bonsai emerges. Elliott mostly uses copper or aluminium, and one sculpture can take hundreds of metres of wire and up to a week to finish.
