It is characteristic of the photographic work of Matheus Dacosta his way of seeing the scenes of the daily life under an artistic perspective. In his first exhibition in the subway of São Paulo entitled “De Passagem” (ticket / passing through / walking), the artist presents 15 photographs that were made over the last 6 years.

For Matheus Dacosta: “The subway stations are like rivers that constantly change through meetings and disagreements, the movement of the cars, the haste, the waiting, the desire to arrive and the need to leave.”

Between comings and goings, as a photographer / passenger, Matheus portrayed the seasons and passengers through their lenses that freeze these fragments of “Passage” over time. The show is the photographer’s look and intervention record that cuts scenes from the routine that day to day hides us.
