One Family Decides They Can’t Take Care Of Their Dog, Drops Him Off At Shelter With Toys And Bed
The world is filled with poor little animals who don’t have a home and are in desperate need of love and affection. But it is good to know that there are also a lot of people who are willing to give their time and energy in order to help these poor creatures. MCCAC West Adoptable Dogs is a shelter that is filled with generous and loving people who will do anything to help lonely dogs.
Recently “MCACC West adoptable dogs” shelter posted a heartbreaking message about one lonely dog

In their post, they shared the story of Wall-E, a 6-year-old dog, who was left behind because his owners weren’t able to take care of him.

“This guy deserves a forever family who won’t give up on him. Please don’t bash his previous owners though. We don’t know the whole story. What we do know is the owner was heartbroken and crying. It was hard to finally help them leave. The staff was crying with the owners. We don’t believe this decision was taken lightly.”
The shelter later explained that Wall-E’s family didn’t have enough time for him and he would spend most of the time alone in his kennel. “One of our volunteers that run this page put together the post, another volunteer had taken the picture of wall-e getting surrendered. We know it would get a lot of attention because of how sad it was but never thought it would become so huge!”, the shelter told Bored Panda.
In order to find Wall-E a new home, the shelter had the idea to share an adorable video showing how beautiful and fun he is

Not long after the shelter uploaded a photo with the heartwarming comment “Wall-E Adopted!”
Wall-E was adopted by a loving and caring family that couldn’t resist the dog’s adorable eyes. The owner Lynn Lee says she was moved by Wall-E’s story and went to the shelter right away.
Now he is enjoying life surrounded by loving and caring people that would do anything to make him feel safe. ” Wall-e is doing great.. his new family posts videos of him almost every day on the original thread that was shared.”
Thanks to this wonderful organization it only took one day for this adorable creature to find a home. He now enjoys cuddling and going to the park with his new loving family.

Must absolutely be one of the hardest decisions to make - akin to giving a child up for adoption because you are unable to give it the care it needs and deserves. Too many people maybe hold onto animals because they cannot bear to part with them, but the animal suffers from isolation and imprisonment (home alone most of the day and no excercise) and sadly often neglect. Never judge someone giving up a healthy animal to a shelter for adoption and a better life than they can provide due to circumstances. Only judge those who just abandon their animals or keep them in pitiful conditions, neglected, miserable and uncared for.
It is better to leave an animal in a shelter than dump him in a river or in a forest. As an animal lover with a lot of experience in animal help I will always respect people who has a courage to bring a pet to a shelter and give up an animal in a CIVILIZED way. Not living it in a forest, highway or dumping them over the shelter fence at night (happens too many times..) and leaving till morning with injuries that it caused...
I’m so glad they mentioned the truth about the owners...the headline was deliberately designed to shame them...after the shelter asked them not to. And why does the woman in the video say “why did your owners do that to you?” You know why...and you know they cried and cried. They did it because it was the best thing for the dog!
Poor sweet baby. It must be so confusing to see your person crying, know they're upset, then see them just walk away and never come back. I guess they grow to love their new home, but they would never forget their first home. Do they keep wondering, or just accept the change?
After kidnapping my little kitty from my friend's barn where I got her, I later pictured the mom wandering around going "Wait, I had 2 of them. Where's the second one" and I felt so bad.

Just know that for every dog that gets adopted many do not and are euthanized. People! Spay or neuter your pets and think through if you are able to care for them. Don't adopt a pet if you are not absolutely 100% sure that you can provide them with a good forever home!
Good for his previous family for at least taking the trouble to take him somewhere safe. So many times it's shove them out the door or drop them off somewhere in the country.
Glad there is a happy ending to this story; the look on that dogs face is heartbreaking.
I think that I might be allergic to Bored Panda. I was reading this story and I was suddenly stricken with redness of the eyes, lacrimation, and nasal sniffing...
I adopted my beautiful little schnoodle "Grace" from a local shelter. The staff told us her story and it broke my heart. Here previous owner was an older woman whose nephew moved in with her with his own dog. The woman was afraid Grace would be hurt. She was in tears leaving Grace. You can tell Grace was loved and if you say cuddle she runs over. I thought of trying to contact her original owner to let her know Grace is safe and loved.
MCACC is our local pound. We had an east branch but because Arizona is so happy about not spending tax money, it had to close. West is overcrowded now. Local shelters tried to find fosters. If you have to surrender a pet, please do it through a no kill shelter. Then, when you are on your feet, give money, time or supplies to that shelter.
This is my county pound. They are a normal pound with all the plusses and minuses. On the plus side, they work with a trap neuter return group I belong to. They pick them up, fix them and one of us takes the cats back to where they were found. On the minus side, they are a municipal kill shelter and can only care for animals for a certain amount of time because of overcrowding. There was an East Valley branch but it is closing. West and all the local shelters scrambled to find fosters for these pets. Take your pet to a shelter, if you can. Don't take them to animal control/the pound. They do the best they can but only as long as people are willing to pay taxes to fund them. In our red state, people are not.
This dog took our breath away, he could have been the identical twin of our "Ben", who we had around 25 years ago. I'm so glad he was homed quickly.
It's so good that he has a forever home. I did not want to read the story because just the thought of him alone made me too emotional but today I did it and thank God he has found a family that can take care of him. The family that had to give him up must be feeling so sad but now they now that their fur baby is safe and happy :3
I hope the owners who had to give him up know about this happy ending. It sounds as though they're going through tough times.
My MIL had to do this once. Her daughter brought a puppy and instead of taking care of it herself, it was on my MIL. It killed her to do it, but working almost 60 hours a week and not being able to really give him what he needed wasn't fair to him. So she wrote a letter from his point of view explaining what happened and what a good boy he was. The NEXT day she got a call from this guy saying he adopted AJ and he read her letter and felt he needed to let her know. He sent a picture of AJ and his new sister that he can play with and my MIL felt so much better. So yea don't bash the owners if you don't know what happened.
Hopefully his former family will see this and be relieved, knowing their boy is in a loving home <3
I JUST HATE PEOPLE WHO ADOPT A DOG THEN DUMP THE PET....IF YOU KNOW U ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH THEN DONT PET ANIMALS...DAMN IDIOTS.....AND AS FOR WALL E AND HIS PAWMAMA...TAKE CARE...GOD BLESS U BOTH ALWAYS...💜💜💜💜💜
I guess I'm a coldhearted person, but I would NEVER give up my cats unless I had a terminal illness and would die before they do. I can't understand people abandoning a dog like this, and I never will. They should have been responsible and not gotten them in the first place. I hate people.
