Rescue Dog That Never Had His Own Yard Gets A Surprise When His New Parents Build Him One

When KaTarra Taylor adopted Bentley the bloodhound, she was determined to give him everything he needed. And then some. However, the woman soon ran into quite the problem. No landlord was willing to rent to her and her new buddy. So, KaTarra decided to take matters into her own hands.

“I bought a townhouse in 2018 because no one would rent to me with a dog Bentley’s size,” she told Bored Panda, adding that the doggo was happy to move into their new home. “He loves wherever we are because I’m there as well.”

Soon, the two were joined in the house by KaTarra’s boyfriend Nick and his dog as well.

And KaTarra made up her mind to delight Bentley with another surprise.

The woman knew how much Bentley enjoys chilling in the grass. Whenever they would go for walks or to the park, she would see him laying on a cozy patch of green and really wanted him to have some of that comfort at home. So, after Nick offered a helping hand, the woman set out to transform their concrete patio into a yard her pup has never had.

“My boyfriend was able to get it all done in one day for under $400”

“Bentley loves his little grassy area. We’ve even added a canvas shade for him. Nick really went above and beyond on this project”

After Bentley saw what was waiting for him outside, he immediately lay down and just stayed there for several hours. It’s definitely his new favorite spot. It should also help the bloodhound with his anxiety issues. Even though he still struggles, his mom said he’s getting better every day, and it’s easy to see why. All of the love Bentley receives has to be working wonders for him.

People are incredibly glad to see Bentley enjoying his new yard and relating to the story in all sorts of ways

How lovely! My dogs love our small garden - just mooching around and sniffing. They get walks every day but enjoy sunbathing and checking out what new paths the hedgehogs have used on their way through! Happy life Bentley!

What extreme steps she took for a pup that had had a difficult start. And her boyfriend 's kindness to a dog in need was so sweet.
