This big lion head sculpture by Manolo Garcia, an expert carpenter and artisan from Valencia in Spain, would be part of Fallas 2015, the main Valencia’s festival that will take place from 15th to 19th March.
This head is made with 15 cubic metres of wood for the lion hair and foam for the animal face.
Only the lion head weighs more than 3300 lbs and the whole lion 15.000 lbs. It will be 52,5 feet tall. Up to 72 if we take account of the pillars that you can see in the model picture.
The sculpture will be rised in main square of Valencia from 10th to 15th March and will be burned the night of 19th to 20th.
