64-year-old Grandmother Uses World Of Warcraft To Cope With Cancer

I’m on the team for the documentary “WoW MoM,” about a 64-year-old grandmother turning to World of Warcraft after being diagnosed with terminal Neuroendocrine Tumors.

In the film, she works through her bucket list, which includes attending Blizzcon in full cosplay, performing stand up with Chris Hardwick, and connecting with a community of gamers coping with hardships, illness, and injury.

We’re hoping to finish and sell the film, spread awareness about NET Cancer, which is typically misdiagnosed and untreated for 3-7 years, and donate 5% to Cedar Sinai.
