We’re Rafał and Aleksandra, couple who travel by bikes to hardly accessible locations and take pictures of landscapes, different cultural traditions, or different ways of life.

For our last trip we chose Georgia – remote, unknown and visually amazing country. On June, we set off on a journey around Svaneti Region. We traveled through the high Caucasus mountains, avoiding huge cities as much as we could. We started the trip in Jvari and our main goal was to reach Ushguli , located at the foot of Shkhara, the highest inhabited village in Europe. Then we crossed Zagari Pass with maximum elevation of 2,616 m. The area is snow-covered for 6 months of the year, and often the road is impassable.

The journey brought us a lot of adventures. It’s pretty exciting meeting random local people, speaking in different languages or mimicking for communication. We tried traditional gastronomy and took part in traditional Georgian feast called Supra.
